In November 2001, John Paul Lederach and Emmanuel Bombande co-facilitated a seminar on the topic of “Strategic and Responsive Evaluation of Peacebuilding” for the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding. Over the course of the seminar, they looked at a number of key points about shifting evaluation from a success/failure model to evaluation as learning. This document summarizes the key ideas that emerged from the conversation.
