Apprenticeship Program Final Report
"Character in peacebuilding requires that we cultivate the resilience to courageously face the outpouring of ego in the midst of conflict without replicating its anxious dynamics and the vulnerability to live alongside deep trauma without taking over responsibility for healing others."

Since the last report our grant period formally ended and we conducted a final “harvest” meeting in Salta, Argentina, that took place in the Fall of 2011. This pilot project over the past three years has contributed significantly to our practice and conceptual thinking about preparation for peacebuilding for rising leaders. In our last report we provided a detailed overview of the individual apprentices and anchors, the teams functioning in four continents and the various types of initiatives undertaken and supported in those areas in terms of on-the-ground peacebuilding. In submitting this final report, I will not return to the level of detail on initiatives, though many of those continue and new ones have emerged.
