Muqaddimainizoshinosi [Introduction to Conflict Studies]

Muqaddimainizoshinosi (Introduction to Conflict Studies) is one of two resources that emerged from a four-year peace studies initiative conducted with Tajikistan’s Minister of Education, the Public Committee for Democratic Processes, the International Institute for Sustained Dialogue (now known as the Sustained Dialogue Institute), and Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. Co-edited by Randa Slim and John Paul Lederach, the textbook contains chapters written by Tajiki and international scholars. The initiative comprised of a four-year training program with Tajiki professors to develop the first peace and conflict studies educational materials crafted in the Tajiki language. This textbook and an accompanying curriculum have since been shared from a base of seven universities located in five regions of Tajikistan.
