Peace Studies Teacher’s Guide

Peace Studies Teacher’s Guide

This teacher’s guide, co-written by M. Yamstova and John Paul Lederach, is one of two resources that emerged from a four-year peace studies initiative conducted with Tajikistan’s Minister of Education, the Public Committee for Democratic Processes, the International Institute for Sustained Dialogue (now known as the Sustained Dialogue Institute), and Notre Dame’s Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies. The initiative comprised of a four-year training program with Tajiki professors to develop the first peace and conflict studies educational materials crafted in the Tajiki language. This curriculum and an accompanying textbook have since been shared from a base of seven universities located in five regions of Tajikistan.
